Deadpool only saved his life by chopping off his arm

In the worst situation, Deadpool has just proved that there are no limits to saving his life.

WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Deadpool # 10 from Kelly Thompson, Gerardo Sandoval, Victor Nava, Chris Sotomayor and Joe Sabino from VC, which are on sale now.

Deadpool is, for lack of a better word, unpredictable. How he would react to a complete and total takeover of the planet by an evil older than time itself can be discussed, but how he would handle things if they threatened his home and the kingdom of Monster Island is certain . The reaction, of course, is violent. The Merc with a mouth is more than willing to place himself in a bad way to protect the people and certainly non-people he loves and as rulers of the king in black.

The fact that he’s virtually unworkable is a great way to reinforce the can-do attitude that Deadpool almost always displays. If he harms himself to protect the same people and monsters, he is just as ready to go the extra mile, even if it costs him an arm or a leg.

Knull’s invasion was almost as soon as it began. The army of symbiotic dragons that descended on earth was seemingly infinite, and once they covered the landscape, they formed a dome around the atmosphere of the planet to ensure that there was no escape. Now that the battle has come into its own little corner of the world, Deadpool has put together the best crack team of symbiote killers that Monster Island has to offer and lead them into battle. As the group shoots and stabs through the draconian hordes, it becomes clear that not everyone is properly equipped to handle this particular onslaught. Jeff the Landshark can only lower his teeth into one of the animals, which unfortunately leaves his face covered in living darkness. After being taken over by the symbiotic eruption, Jeff draws his attention to Deadpool, and when the rows of toothed shark teeth sink into his arm, Deadpool already knows what will happen to him if he does not act quickly.

The decision to amputate is not easy, but the precedent in the face of such real abominations as gangrene is very, very long. There’s also the black horror strip to play it out for laughs in movies, including The evil death and Dead snowalthough both of these examples have mixed results. Taking off a limb to prevent a symbiote from bonding with someone is still an unexpected and drastic measure within the context of the Marvel universe, but if someone is going to do it, it could just as well be someone who admittedly only inflated him for a week. earlier and jumped back better than ever from just a head.

It is a bloody and gruesome act, and it works like a charm. With his arm no longer attached and the risk of being infected up to zero again, Deadpool is ready to return to the fight with only his left hand. Luckily, he has his friends and fellow freedom fighters behind him to lend a hand, as long as it’s not the one he just cut off, and together they can defeat the symbiotic dragon, even if they do it on the same explosive way others use. Yet Deadpool has once again proved why he is so good at what he does, even if he has to do it on his own from time to time.
