COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Colorado Springs on Friday.
Police gave a brief update around 2 p.m., saying they had found a “deceased man” in the vicinity of Uintah Street and Delaware Drive. The neighborhood is close to N. Academy Boulevard and Galley Road.
Around 4 p.m., a viewer reaches out concerned about police activity near the Citadel Mall, just south of where the shooting took place. Police confirmed with 11 news that they were searching the area for the shooting suspect.
Colorado Springs police say a suspect has finally been arrested and the scene has since been cleared. The last time this article was updated, the police could not identify the victim or the suspect in public. It is not clear what led to the fatal encounter.
This shooting was not linked to a shooting in which the ATF was involved earlier in the day.
