Dead Cells: Fatal Falls’ launch brings a cute animated trailer

More Dead Cells is not exactly a hard sell (aha!), But that has not stopped developers from doing everything with a new animated trailer for the Fatal Falls DLC. It’s even relevant to the game, and introduces a clingy but incredibly fierce sentimental sword that just wants to stab.

The sword is just one of the various new weapons being unloaded in the excellent platform caster. In addition, there are lightning rods that turn off bolts from above, for some reason teleport snake teeth, a ferry lantern that combines melee combat and attacks, and powerful iron staff for more fun. Expect each of them to splash bloody pixels across your screens through the bucket load.

The new areas to cut through include floating islands populated by a pagan cult (with large, sentimental statues), the storm that drove Undying Shores, and the Mausoleum, where you will fight a gardener who only eats flowers and mushrooms keep. You are not one, so prepare to be covered.

Here’s what the new DLC actually looks like. I was not wrong about the pixels.

Well, it looks like I’m going to play Dead Cells this weekend. This is one of those games I never remove. It’s just sitting there in Steam, waiting for me to get bored of everyone else, knowing I’ll end up at The Hand of the King at 2am.

Fatal Falls costs you £ 4.50 / $ 5 / € 5 on Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store, Origin and Humble
