The roster of killers in Dood By daily read like a who’s who of horror icons. Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Stranger things‘Demogorgon and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill are all in the series. The latest dreaded killer comes from a very different background: K-pop.
The Trickster is the K-pop star Ji-Woon, who develops an addiction to murder after the excitement of musical stars faded. He is jealous of fellow members in the boyband NO SPIN and let them die when a fire broke out in their studio. He can throw knife to his advantage as he hunts down survivors and like the other killers, he has some unique advantages up his sleeve.
Along with the latest killer comes a new survivor Death by daily. Yun-Jin Lee is a music producer who recruited Ji-Woon in NO SPIN. Among her benefits is one called Smash Hit (do you get it?), Which enables her to jump off after stunning an assassin with a palette. She will also get boosted when her teammates are in danger.
To ensure that the K-pop industry and community are accurately portrayed, developer Behavior Interactive teamed up with Kevin Woo of K-pop band U-KISS and producer DJ Swivel, who collaborated with BTS. The studio is giving another nod to K-pop with the title of the latest chapter, ‘All-Kill’. This is a K-pop term that refers to a song that reaches number one in every real-time chart.
Behavior has not revealed when you can unlock The Trickster and Yun-Jin in the full game. For now, you can try it out on the Player Test Build on Steam. The latest test build also includes color-blind modes and chat filters, as well as adjustments to some benefits and killers.
