Authorities in Washington, DC, are asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect accused of smashing a police officer against a door during the violent riot at the US Capitol last week.
The Metropolitan Police Station tweeted new photos Friday night photos showing the shaggy-haired suspect in glasses.
Metropolitan police officer Daniel Hodges can be seen on photos and videos on social media that bled out of his mouth when he was crushed in a door in the Capitol.
Hodges remembers his attacker beating him and ‘foaming at the mouth’.
“There was a man pulling off my mask, he could rip off the baton and hit me with it,” the officer reminded CNN. “He practically foamed at the mouth, so fair, these people were true believers in the worst way.”
Another officer managed to rescue Hodges from the noisy crowd. DC police said Hodges is recovering well after the incident.
Christopher Wray, director of the FBI, said Thursday that more than 200 suspects have been identified while investigators continue to investigate the attack in which five people were killed, including a Capitol police officer.
