Police in Washington, DC, on Friday arrested a 12-year-old boy who allegedly went with another male on a car hijacking and drove four cars within one hour before police arrested him.
The other suspect remains at large.
According to Metropolitan Police, one of the suspects pulled a gun on each victim and demanded that they leave the car. The first attempted car hijacking took place at 18:29, but the victim fled the scene.

In two similarly unsuccessful hijacking attempts at 7:15 and 7:20 p.m., the victims included two drivers waiting to pick up a customer and a man returning to his car during the incident.
At 19:24, the suspects convinced a woman to forfeit her car, but the 12-year-old was arrested shortly afterwards and the woman’s car was recovered.

The 12-year-old was charged with four counts of armed robbery.

Police have captured an image of the other suspect from the footage and are asking anyone with information regarding the case to call police at 202-727-9099 or send an SMS to the department’s tip line to 50411.
The Metropolitan Police are offering a reward of up to $ 10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the other suspect.
