YouTuber David Dobrik owns a brand new $ 9.5 million home in Los Angeles with a sweet fringe benefit: a Hawaiian Punch fountain.
“It’s my favorite part of the whole house … It’s a water fountain like you get at school, but watch it instead of water -” the 24-year-old said in a video while sipping red fruit punch that from the fountain. “It’s a fruit punch. This is freaking ridiculous! ”
The Gen-Z joker said the idea comes from the 2002 Adam Sandler film “Mr. Deeds, ”about a man who inherits a lavish fortune – including a mansion with a Hawaiian Punch fountain.
Apparently, the film left an impression.
‘It comes from the movie’ Mr. Deeds. “I always wanted one,” said Dobrik, who was the fifth most-viewed YouTuber in 2019, with 2.4 billion views, according to YouTube Rewind 2019.
The house with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms also has a wine room with 300 bottles, a movie theater, a jukebox, a pool table, three fireplaces, statues, murals and an Iron Man suit. Neon signs in the house say expressions like “Proud but not satisfied.” The list includes a basketball court, an infinity pool and a two-seater floating deck.
An important addition to the house is a TV-ready recording studio, with blue-light signs for its podcast “Views”, geometric wall tiles and wooden wall panels.
Dobrik stopped to make content at the beginning of the pandemic, but he decided to design a space that could safely accommodate guests for his show. Everyone entering the space is being tested COVID, and he plans to launch at least once a week on YouTube, with a new Halsey interview, he says in the video.
Dobrik bought the house at a 20% discount in August, and he started adapting the space – for example with a fruit punch fountain. His friends and assistants, Taylor Hudson and Ella D’Souza, helped him adjust the house, and in return he surprised them with a new Mercedes and a new Audi on camera in the house’s parking lot with 12 motors.
The YouTuber, who also has 25.5 million subscribers on TikTok, first gained notoriety as a Vine star in 2013 and now has a combined 27.35 million subscribers on his primary and secondary YouTube channels, where he became famous has for his vlog.
