Dave Chappelle tested positive for coronavirus.
The rising star (47) made the news just before his comedy show was due to start on Thursday. Chappelle has since canceled his upcoming performances, a spokesman said.
Chappelle is expected to perform Thursday night through Sunday at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin, Texas. The performances have been canceled and Chappelle is in quarantine, his representative Carla Sims said in a statement. The comedian is asymptomatic.

Chappelle has been performing social distance shows in Ohio since June and moving his shows to Austin during the winter, Sims said.

Quick tests for the audience and daily tests for Chappelle and his team were implemented.
Comedian Joe Rogan would perform at the shows on Friday and Saturday. He apologized to followers on Instagram for the canceled shows and said they would be rescheduled.

Rogan at Stubb’s with Chappelle and other stars, including Donnell Rawlings, Ron White and Elon Musk, showed a report earlier this week.
Refunds will be available for containers at their point of purchase.
