Dash driver steals puppy from Warren family on camera

On New Year’s Day, a Warren family’s puppy was stolen by a driver of Door Dash.

“I did not realize my dog ​​was gone until it dawned on me that she was gone,” Ashley Swinton said.

Their dog, Bella, was just eight weeks old. She was a Christmas present for Ashley’s five children, but then stole.

“We thought she was outside until we tracked down the cameras and found out she was actually stolen,” Swinton said.

Police took action when Detective Brian Price, a 12-year veteran and owner of two dogs, found the case himself.

He suspected contact with a 26-year-old woman after just two days.

“I followed up and was able to locate the suspect and the dog in the 11 Mile and Van Dyke area,” Price said.

Little Bella was safe and returned home.

“The dog was that she was so excited, that he could not write a statement,” Price said.

But that’s not all, because he got a confession from the driver of the Door Dash. The suspect is now looking at four years in prison for aggravated.
