“We are the hope of this people that we are unprotected”, was expressed by the member of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and former functionary, Danilo Díaz, referring to the opposition laborer who will resign.
Díaz explained that the PLD is compiling a “list and preparation” to start its opposition management on the current governing government and that the issue will be concentrated on social policies and the “high cost of living”.
“Themes that we have at the expense of the political agenda, such as the hammock, the high cost of living, are the kind of things that are not present in the ambitions of the Dominican families … we are here to support this people in his mouth and in his conquest “, said the political leader.
The Deputy Chief Electoral Officer of the Junta Central Electoral (JCE) also said that the PLD as a party would hope to conclude its internal process in order to carry out its work as “the only major opposition party”.
The ruling passed on the 45 members of the Political Committee, including the acclamation of the President of the Republic, Danilo Medina, as President of the Party and the Excellency of the Examiner Charlie Mariotti as Secretary General.
