Sheldon is going to be so jealous!
Big bang theory alum Mayim Bialik (currently starring in Fox’s Call Me Cat) will serve as one of Danger!see rotating hosts, The EP Mike Richards announced Wednesday. 60 minutes‘Bill Whitaker has also joined the interim guest-host list which so far includes former Today co-anchor Katie Couric, NFL star Aaron Rodgers and current temporary assistant Ken Jennings.
Per a Danger! representative, as part of the appearance of each host, a donation will be made to a charity of their choice. The amount donated will be equal to the cumulative profit of the contestants competing during the weeks they host.
“Alex was a legend honored by all of us,” Richards said in a statement. “I want to thank our hosts, who will not only help everyone celebrate his great legacy, but will also bring their own play to the show.”
Jennings was the first host to die for the late Alex Trebek, whose last installment aired on January 8. In its debut on Monday, the BOK Danger! participant fought back tears while discussing Trebek’s legacy. ‘Like everyone Danger! fans, I miss Alex a lot, ”he told viewers at the top of the show. ‘And I thank him for all he has done for us all. Let us be absolutely clear: no one will ever replace the great Alex Trebek. But we can honor him by playing the game he loved. ”(Watch the video of Jennings’ message here.)
A permanent host is expected to be appointed later this year.
