“Danger!” announces new hosts, including Savannah Guthrie, Anderson Cooper and Dr. Oz

A whole bunch of new hosts have been announced for the years-long game show “Jeopardy!” Savannah Guthrie, Anderson Cooper, dr. Mehmet Oz and dr. Sanjay Gupta will be joining a growing list of well-known hosts – including Katie Couric, Aaron Rodgers, Bill Whitaker and Mayim Bialik.

As part of the television personality’s time in the program, money will be donated to a charity of their choice – amounts equal to the total profits of the participants in the weeks they appear.

“We look forward to each host bringing their unique abilities to the show and our participants winning a lot of money that they can compare to charity,” said executive producer Mike Richards.

After years of hosting Alex Trebek deceased due to pancreatic cancer last November rumors turn about his potential replacement. ‘Jeopardy! Greatest of All Time ‘winner Ken Jennings was eventually named as the consulting producer, and then announced as interim host. He makes his “Jeopardy!” debut on January 11, and Richards will follow him as host for a short time.

The dates of the celebrities’ host performances, along with the charity names, have yet to be confirmed. Of the new star-studded series, only CNN’s Cooper has previously appeared as a participant in the program in its Power Players tournaments.

A permanent host has yet to be announced.
