MADISON, Wis. – Public health officials in Madison and Dane County are changing the requirements regarding coverage and social distance for people who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

The changes to emergency order no. 14 comes into effect on Thursday and follows the new guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

People who are fully vaccinated do not have to keep a distance of six feet or cover a face:

  • If you are in an enclosed space with people from one household who are not fully vaccinated and do not have an increased risk of serious COVID-19 disease.

People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after receiving their final vaccination.

Individuals who are fully vaccinated should follow all other aspects of the public health order while in a public space. You can read more about the stream in order in place here.
