Dana White reiterates UFC piracy warning: I’ll catch these ‘rogue criminals’

Dana White begins 2021 with a warning to those starting online broadcasts of UFC fights. Without releasing anything specific, the UFC president simply said he was waiting for a “surprise” for those involved in such activities.

White recently spoke with The Mac Life to double its fight against online piracy.

“We were one of the leagues that was so proactive about piracy,” White said. ‘I like how cool and tough these guys behave on social media, because let me tell you, we caught a lot of people. Let me tell you what they do: they cry. They cry and beg not to be persecuted and all these other things.

‘We just overcame a big obstacle in the piracy world, and we’re going to catch some of these guys in 2021 and I’m looking forward to crying and begging. We’ll see how tough they are when they are caught. ”

Aside from the unauthorized distribution of his product, White’s other major concern is people giving personal information only to be scammed and stolen.

“So if you go through my Instagram and go through all the comments, there is a man who says, ‘DM me if you want to take on the fight this weekend.’ He steals people’s information,” White said. ‘People who keep him busy steal their information.

‘He takes your money from your bank and he pays for your credit card. These guys are criminal criminals.

‘They’re never going to leave everyone. They’re going to be there, and we’re not trying to get rid of everyone. I just want to catch a few. That’s all I’m looking for. You can not close the whole thing, the piracy industry is going to go on forever. Let me catch a few and see what happens – and I will, oh it’s come. ‘

The UFC could expect more cases of piracy this year, especially after ESPN decided to increase PPV prices to $ 69.99. These new rates start with UFC 257.
