Dana White keeps up for Gina Carano.
The former MMA star who became an actress made headlines this week when she was fired from Disney’s The Mandalorian as well as by Lucasfilm, the studio that produces the popular producer Star Wars spinoff. Carano’s action comes in the wake of the 38-year-old who received criticism from the public for a series of Instagram story posts that include shots of mask as a safety measure of COVID-19 and include a conservative sentiment.
Carano apparently addressed the latter with a report comparing what she saw as the situation of persecuted conservatives with the skimming of the Jews in the Holocaust era.
The post that has since been deleted read as follows:
‘Jews were beaten on the street, not by Nazi soldiers, but by their neighbors … even by children. Because history is being processed, most people today do not realize that the government first made their own neighbors hate because they were Jews to reach the point where Nazi soldiers could easily gather thousands of Jews. How is it different from hating someone because of his political views? ”
It was not the first time Carano had taken an aggressive stance with her political views (she also propagated unfounded QAnon conspiracy theories), but this time the subsequent setback led to her being removed from a lead role as Cara Dune. The Mandalorian.
In a statement from Lucasilm, Carano’s statements were denied as ‘heinous’ and ‘unacceptable’. Her representation at United Talent Agency also separated her.
UFC President Dana White spoke to reporters on Friday after the UFC 258 official weigh-in and outburst, when asked about the controversy.

In 2019, Carano revealed in an interview that ominous lyrics from White and a lack of professionalism on his part were a major factor in her decision not to sign at the UFC.

Carano is widely recognized as one of the pioneers of female MMA. She competed from 2006-2009, a team that competed in several high-profile matches that were broadcast on cable television, which was a rarity at the time. The final battle of her career, a loss to Cris Cyborg on August 15, 2009, drew a 576,000 viewers view on Showtime.
A day after the news that she had expelled Disney and Lucasfilm, Carano announced that she was working with conservative expert Ben Shapiro to produce a film through his website The Daily Wire.
