Supporters of the Portland Trail Blazer are confused with the rivalries over competition while Damian Lillard and the Blazers Patrick Beverly, Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers take on the fight. Earlier today, Yahoo Sports posted a thread on Twitter about the alleged rivalry between Lillard and George.
The Blazers and Clippers play each other tonight.
They are not friends.
It’s a thread about their beef. It started when Damian Lillard hit this shot over Paul George to eliminate the Thunder in 2019. pic.twitter.com/ZvC82JvPm4

The thread talked about the shot that Lillard hit while George – when he played for the Oklahoma City Thunder – wanted to push him in 2019. Lillard’s three-pointer eliminated the Thunder in the first round of the playoffs. The same twitter thread from Yahoo Sports highlights the comments that have been fired back and forth between Lillard and George in the ensuing months, both to the media and on social media.
Before tonight’s Clippers game, Lillard commented on the alleged rivalry between himself and George, saying, “I thought a rivalry was built in court.”
‘I thought a rivalry was built in court, do you know what I’m saying? I do not think it is a rivalry. ‘ – @Dame_Lillard on tonight’s game against Clippers
