Dallas County on Sunday reported 1,377 new cases of coronavirus, as well as another 13 deaths due to COVID-19.
The most recent victims include nine Dallas residents: a woman in her 40s, a man in his 50s, two women and a man in their 60s, two men and one woman in their 70s and a man in his 80s.
The remaining victims were a Mesquite man in his 50s, a Garland man in his 60s, a Balch Springs woman in her 70s and a Lancaster man in his 70s.
All the victims were admitted to the hospital and had underlying health problems, officials said.

Of the new cases, 1,311 were confirmed and 66 likely.
The newly reported cases bring the province to 234,625, including 207,640 confirmed cases and 26,985 probable cases. The death toll stands at 1,871.
Health officials use hospitalizations, admissions for intensive care and emergency visits as key statistics to track the real-time impact of COVID-19 in the country. Due to a backlog in reporting over weekends, this data will be available next Tuesday.
According to state data, 81,643 people in Dallas County received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, while 14,623 were fully immunized.
Texas
Across the state, 18,034 more cases were reported Sunday, including 17,674 new cases and 360 older cases recently reported by laboratories.
The state also reported 207 COVID-19 deaths, which increased its toll to 32,038.
Of the new cases, 15,667 were confirmed and 2,007 likely. Of the older cases, 302 were confirmed and 58 likely.
The newly reported cases bring the state to 2,115,594, including 1,853,521 confirmed cases and 262,073 probable cases.
There are 13,728 COVID-19 patients in Texas hospitals, including 3,907 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. On Saturday, 23.7% of the patients in the hospital region covering the Dallas-Fort Worth area were COVID-19 patients.
The seven-day average positivity rate across the country for molecular tests, based on the date of collection of the test sample, was 16.24% from Saturday. For antigen tests, the positivity rate for the same period was 9.76%.
According to state data, 1,109,874 people in Texas received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, while 166,934 were fully immunized.
Tarrant county
Tarrant County on Sunday reported 1,611 cases of coronavirus and 19 deaths.
Details of the latest victims were not immediately available.
Of the new cases, 1,343 were confirmed and 268 probable.
The newly reported cases bring the province to 192,497, including 166,474 confirmed cases and 26,023 probable cases. The death toll stands at 1,852.
According to the province, as of Friday, 1,488 people have been admitted to hospital with the virus.
According to state data, 59,542 people in Tarrant County received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, while 5,600 were fully immunized.
Collin county
The state added 668 coronavirus cases and five deaths on Sunday.
No details about the latest victims were available.
Of the new cases, 588 have been confirmed and 80 likely.
The newly reported cases bring the province to 63,239, including 54,797 confirmed cases and 8,422 probable cases. The death toll stands at 472.
According to the province, 512 people with the virus are being admitted to hospital.
According to state data, 29,298 people in Collin County received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine, while 3,997 were fully immunized.
Denton county
Denton County officials said they would no longer report new coronavirus data on Sundays.
As of Saturday, the country had reported 46,272 cases, including 13,925 that were active and 32,098 recovered. The death toll stood at 249.

The Texas Department of Public Health has taken over reporting for these other North Texas counties. In some provinces, new data is not reported every day.
The latest numbers are:
- Rockwall County: 8,222 cases (6,873 confirmed and 1,349 probable), 74 deaths.
- Kaufman County: 11,450 cases (9,962 confirmed and 1,488 probable), 150 deaths.
- Ellis County: 16,403 cases (14,457 confirmed and 1,946 probable), 199 deaths.
- Johnson County: 14,435 cases (12,872 confirmed and 1,563 probable), 207 deaths.
