The seven-day moving average of daily COVID-19 cases continues.

The Utah Department of Health reported Sunday that the trend of positive tests stands at 1,464 per day. The number is slightly lower than just a week ago, when the average of seven days of positive cases was 1,794. The week before, it was 2,548.

Another positive trend lies in the number of cases of coronavirus that UDOH has considered “unrecovered” in the past two weeks. At the beginning of the year, the number of unfinished business amounted to about 50,000. But in the past two days it has been less than 40,000.

This trend, coupled with the seven-day average daily incidence, indicates that Utah sees fewer people who are COVID-19 sick.

In Salt Lake County, the seven-day average daily falls were at 491.14. This is the first time since October 14 that the moving average in the province has fallen below 500.
