Dad forced a daughter to sign a contract to never get fat

A British fitness fan father has forced his daughter to sign a lifelong contract with the promise that she ‘will never get fat’, according to reports.

Rachid Khadla, 56, apparently left Amira Khadla on a daily scale to record her weight, dictate what clothes she could wear, restrict who she could visit and control what she watched on TV.

According to court documents, she also maintained that Rachid hit her in the chest and arms, threw a chair at her and regularly hit her with a spoon.

He now faces three charges of child abuse and two counts of assault in Britain for his treatment of her and sons Hicham and Karim.

Amira, now 23, was forced by her ‘controlling’ father in 2012 to write: ‘I, Amira Khadla, will never let myself get fat. “I will do a lot of exercise to make sure I never get fat, even until I die,” per court record.

The court also heard how Rachid Hicham allegedly disciplined on October 16, 2019 after the boy was “too slow” with cleaning Amira’s room.

“He punched Hicham in the chest several times and then pushed him onto his sister’s bed,” prosecutor Alex Krikler argued. “He then placed both hands around his neck and strangled him for some time – five to ten seconds – before pulling him up, punching him in the chest and walking away.”

“Hicham tried to say ‘stop’ but could not speak,” Krikler continued. “He could not breathe and although the marks left by the strangulation were relatively small, the incident was extremely frightening.”

According to the prosecutor, Harim told his mother the next day that his father had “crossed a line”. The boy then went to his school and also told friends there. They in turn told their teachers what the police had informed them. Rachid was arrested that evening.

But the incident in October was not an isolated one, according to Harim, who described to officials what it was like to grow up with his father.

“For the smallest offenses at home, he said he would get ‘the spoon’ regularly,” Krikler told the jury. “His father would let him stick out and hit the palms with a wooden spoon. He also described how his father would push and hit him and sometimes throw things at him. ‘

“The abuse was not just physical,” Krikler continued. “The accused will also threaten extreme violence, that he ‘will splash his brain over the ceiling and kill him’. His father would tell him he was weak.”

The eldest son, Karim, now 26, also recalls “the control, the mood and the violence” of his father, according to documents.

During the investigation, Rachid’s wife Sarah defended her children and told of her husband’s abuse of them.

Krikler told the court: “She describes the control he exercised over the family and how he had a quick temper and would get angry for no reason. She describes the anger as the direction of the children.”

Rachid said all charges against him were false.

“He denied threatening his children or physically hurting them, saying he sometimes screamed, but that was it,” Krikler explained. “He denied that he controlled his children.”
