Cyberpunk 2077 started with big as well as small expenses, but the mod community sat down and went to work. The game’s Nexus Mods page is now full of interesting additions that ease the way through the bumpy ride of the base game.
Players, for example, noticed after the launch that Night City has no barbers. But thanks to a mod at Home432 called Arasaka Appearance Updater, the player can customize some facial features and change their hairstyle.
Another mod that is incredibly useful is Better Minimap, by WillyJL. By default Cyberpunk 2077, every time V gets out of their car, the camera zooms in on the minimum path, which means you can not see the target you took out of your car in the first place. Better Minimap offers new zoom options and other features.
There is even a new mod that offers a third-person camera. Jelle Bekkar has placed TPP Mod WIP Third Person on NexusMods, which enables the player to switch between four different camera options.
The mods above have issues; some are marked as WIP (work in progress), or the author notes that they have minor problems with delayed or flickering footage. But it is also a very impressive attempt to upload a game that was not ready for the first time.
CD Project Red announced an online mode and DLC after the launch before the game’s release, but it’s currently unclear if the plans have changed to Cyberpunk 2077a difficult launch on December 10th. CD Project Red has since released hotfixes for the game, and there are two major updates planned for this month and February. Recently, Hotfix 1.06 was released on December 23, 2020.
