Cyberpunk 2077 mod reveals real horror over V’s sleeping position • Eurogamer.net

Do you sleep sideways on your bed? Like, deliberately? It seems that Cyberpunk 2077 protagonist V does.

Since Cyberpunk 2077 appeared in December, players have been wondering about V’s strange sleeping place. From the first-person perspective, we see V precipitate in such a way that it suggests that half of their body hangs from the bed – sideways.

It has become something of a meme in the Cyberpunk community, with various sketches of players imagining what V looks like when they go viral.

Redditor jk47_99 used Cyberpunk 2077’s recently released third-person version mod to see Vs get completely out of bed animation – and yes, that’s pretty annoying.

As a parent of two young children who sometimes wake up at night, I can relate to anyone who is forced to sleep half on and half off a bed. But V does not have the problem. V has a nice bed for themselves and they do not even bother to get under the blankets and lie down straight. Everything needed for a good night’s sleep is there, V. Why do you just have to fly across the bed – on top of the lids and hanging with your legs ?!

The whole thing becomes more of a headache when you think that V normally sleeps in other beds, for example those used for sex. It looks like there’s something else on the bed in V’s apartment. Something … strange.

Sleep is ultimately an unnecessary part of Cyberpunk 2077. Aside from a few moments where the game’s story forces you to sleep, you never have to. Your apartment is unfortunately just as unnecessary. You never really have to go there. V never gets tired, so she does not have to own a bed. If you prefer to play at a certain time of the day, or if you have to do it for a certain quest, you can skip the time unattended from the options screen.

But every now and then I go back to V’s apartment to sleep. I do not know why! And every time I do that, I shake my head at how V does it.
