Cyber-security company releases free Trend Micro Check, fact-checking, verifying COVID-19 information

CHICAGO (WLS) – Experts fear misinformation spread about COVID-19 vaccine online.

But a cybersecurity company, Trend Micro, has a new free tool to help. This is called Trend Micro Check. You can open it via Facebook, WhatsApp, a Chrome extension or directly on the Trend Micro website. Copy and paste the information you see, whether it’s an article or an image that someone shared on social media. Trend Micro Check will verify the information in real time.
