Before the weekend, Best Buy surprised PlayStation customers with its first PS5 stock this week. Furthermore, Best Buy not only has a new stock of the standard PS5, which costs $ 500 and has a disc drive. Although both consoles have been incredibly difficult to find so far this year, the all-digital PS5 was by far the more difficult of the two due to less stock. In fact, many in Costco, Target, GameStop and other stocks did not have a digital stock at all this week, at least for sale.
Like the two different Target stocks this week, it appears that this new Best Buy stock is limited to pickups (per side). In other words, if your local store does not have stock, you may have no luck because the retailer does not seem to offer home shipping.
At the time of writing, it is unclear whether any stock remains. Best Buy is sometimes released in waves, making the fact that the stock is depleted almost impossible. That said, by the time you read this, the stock could very well be sold out.
That said, unlike many stocks this week, this new one from Best Buy is praised for its success rate. Usually, typing ‘Best Buy PS5’ on Twitter offers nothing but disappointing and upset customers. And of course, there are a few customers who have run into website issues and had a shortage of stock near them, but there have also been quite a few of their orders celebrated, or at least more than usual.
