Currently more of our Valheim are playing on Steam than GTA 5 or PUBG • Eurogamer.net

Only Dota 2 and CS: GO currently have more simultaneous players.

Valheim may only be available in Early Access right now, but that has not stopped it from becoming one of Steam’s biggest games, and it’s a peak of nearly 350,000 simultaneous players within two weeks.

As revealed by SteamCharts, the Norwegian fantasy game is currently more popular than multiplayer favorites like PUBG, Apex Legends and even Grant Theft Auto 5, with only Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offense currently playing more simultaneous players.

Valheim sold more than 1 million copies in just one week. The Viking-themed survival and craft game was launched on February 2 as an Early Access title and quickly rose to the highest level of Steam and Twitch.

The developer of Valheim, Iron Gate, advises all players to back up their characters and worlds after discovering that a “world destroyer” is fixing bugs.

CEO Richard Svensson explained in a tweet how players can make backups and avoid losing their data to the error, confirming that the team has not been able to do so yet, although he is trying to reproduce it and the address problem. However, Iron Gate suspects that this may have been linked to leaving the game by ALT + F4 and not via the menu.
