In a story published on Wednesday, the newspaper reported that the assistant had told Cuomo that she had to come to his house to help with a cellphone problem, but when she closed the door to a room, she stuck out from under her blouse and loved her. . . The newspaper never filed a formal complaint after that.
The allegations came to light through the assistant’s colleagues after Cuomo’s press conference on March 3, where he addressed accusations from other women, including former assistants, accusing him of unwanted sexual advances and other inappropriate behavior.
When Cuomo denied ever touching another woman inappropriately, the source said the assistant became upset and others noticed.
The assistant, who is much younger than Cuomo, told her supervisor what happened. Coupled with the incident at the mansion, the assistant said Cuomo had touched her before and engaged in flirtatious behavior, the source said.
The Times Union first reported the assistant’s story on Tuesday when she became the sixth woman to speak to Cuomo. The report of the tasings at the governor’s mansion was reported by the newspaper on Wednesday.
In a statement to The Hill, the governor denied the assistant’s bill published Wednesday.
“As I said yesterday, I’ve never done anything like this. The details of this report are violent. I’m not going to talk about the details of this or any other allegation, given the ongoing review, but I’m confident in as a result of the Attorney General’s report, ”Cuomo said in the statement.
Cuomo claimed at a news conference on Tuesday that he knew of no other allegations against him, although The Times Union published his office hours before the conference and asked about the new allegations.
Despite Republican and Democratic legislatures, including the Democratic leaders of the Senate and the New York Assembly, asking Cuomo to resign, the governor said he would not resign. Attorney General Letitia James has asked two veteran advocates to investigate allegations of sexual harassment against Cuomo.
