Crystal Hefner says she almost died during cosmetic surgery

Hugh Hefner’s widow posted a photo on her verified Instagram account on Wednesday showing how she was connected, with a caption that began: “I had a veto transfer operation on October 16 and barely got through.”

“I lost half the blood in my body and ended up in hospital needing a blood transfusion,” reads the caption. “I have been eating slowly back to my health ever since and now finally feel ok.”

Hefner writes she was a “pleader to be natural” after she fell ill and had her implants removed in 2016.

“I should have learned my lesson the first time, but I think the universe sends you the same lesson until you learn it,” she writes.

Fat transfer involves taking fat from one part of the body and moving it to another, including the breasts and buttocks.

“Our culture is a trap and makes women feel terrible about themselves,” Hefner writes. “Movies (84.9% directed by men) make it worse. Social media makes it worse. Advertisements make it worse. Physical people make it worse (I was one of them).”

According to the model, “How our culture defines beauty makes it impossible to keep up.”

“Women are being sexualized too much,” she says. “I know from the worst kind of experience.” ⁣

Former Crystal Harris was married to Hugh Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017 at the age of nine. She appeared on the Playboy website and in the magazine before they got married.
