A major fire broke out on an MSC cruise ship moored in Corfu (Kerkyra) Greece Friday.

The fire broke out on a fiberglass lifeboat at the MSC Lirica before 15:42 local time and, according to the MSC Cruises, shook large plumes of smoke into the air.

The ship is stranded in Corfu’s harbor during the winter with 51 crew members on board, but no passengers.

According to the cruise line, there were no injuries.

It took firefighters about three hours to get the fire under control.

Attempts to extinguish the fire were declared completed at 18:58 local time, according to the cruise line.

The MSC spokesman said a preliminary evaluation showed damage to the ship’s side, but not to the inside.

The MSC Cruises has a 902-foot-long, 65,591-ton ship, with 992 cabins with a capacity of 2,548 passengers plus 752 crew members.

Facilities on board the ship include a spa, theater, casino and disco.
