Cowboys sign Goodwin, Turner; 4 players released

FRISCO, Texas The Cowboys continued to address depth on their special teams on Friday and re-signed Malik Turner, the wide receiver, for a one-year contract.

Turner, 25, has been active in special teams for six games this past season and has offered two tackles. He was a key player for the Seahawks from 2018-19 before joining the Cowboys last September due to the Packers’ indemnity.

Corner CJ Goodwin, who agreed to a new two-year deal earlier this week, also officially signed on Friday. Goodwin has led the Cowboys in special teams tackling the last two seasons.

The Cowboys also relinquished four players who spent time in the training group last season and signed to the Reserve / Future list in January: center Marcus Henry, tighthead Cole Hikutini, wide receiver Jon’Vea Johnson and the wide receiver Chris Lacy.
