Faith No More / Mike Patton, frontman of Mr Bungle, is busy again. Not happy with the release of a cruel, NSFW video last week to herald the return of his alt.rock supergroup Tomahawk, but the singer also lent his song to a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge was launched today by French game developer Dometu, along with a trailer in which Patton TMNT theme song. You can see the trailer below – but what is the game about?
“With Bebop and Rocksteady assaulting Channel 6 and stealing super gnarly devices to support Krang and Shredder’s latest twisted plan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge see the Turtles fight over a fair variety of timeless TMNT locations, “the developers explain.
“From Manhattan and Coney Island,” they add, “the terrifying four-legged throne of Foot Soldiers, Triceraton Warriors and Rock Troops to Dimension X from Manhattan and Coney Island helps.
They go on in this excited way and say, ‘Enjoy beautiful full-color pixel art graphics and a vintage TMNT atmosphere that will take you straight to the amazing 80s.
“Every character, vehicle, weapon, item and backdrop is directly inspired by the 1987 TV show, which makes you feel like you’re jumping on the television – with a jumble of killer humor and action-packed adventures!”
An release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has not been announced yet, but you can add the game to your Steam wishlist.
