COVID Vaccine: Victor Smith, Ohio, Recovered After Accidental Vaccination Twice in One Day

HAMILTON, Ohio – Receiving two doses of COVID-19 vaccine is not unheard of, but doctors say you have to wait weeks between each shot.

This did not happen to a man from Ohio who is now recovering after receiving back vaccine vaccines.

Today, 91-year-old Victor Smith is recovering after his body went into shock in response to an overdose of vaccine.

“They told me he’s not going to get it,” said Smith’s daughter, Dawn Smith Theodore.

Theodore said it all started after her father received his first dose of the vaccine on January 22nd.

He was very tired afterwards and fell.

Smith, who is an amputee, was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital before being transferred to Jamestown Rehab Facility days later.

While in the rehab center, Smith would pick up his second shot on Feb. 25 at the Butler County Fairgrounds.

“They transported him to get his shot. And when he came back, I talked to him,” Theodore said. “He was fine. And then, at 3:45, I came in to a firefighter from town and said they had a chance for Victor, and the nurse called ‘Victor Smith?’ and he said ‘yes’, and they gave him the room number and sent him to room 202 where my father was.’
