COVID Vaccine Updates: New York Alerts Residents to Coronavirus Dosage Sites

NEW YORK (WABC) – New York Attorney General Letitia James has issued a warning to consumers about illegal COVID-19 vaccine charges.

James reminds New Yorkers that all coronavirus vaccines are free.

She appeals to anyone charged with a shooting to contact her office immediately.

The attorney general says her office is committed to protecting residents from the virus and fraud associated with it.

Italian prosecutors say a top official of the World Health Organization lied to them about a sharp WHO report on the coronavirus response in Italy, which on Friday reveals private communications that are likely to embarrass the UN health agency. Prosecutors in Bergamo accused dr. Ranieri Guerra, then an assistant director-general of the WHO, is investigating because he allegedly made false statements to them when he voluntarily agreed to be questioned in November. Guerra was the link of the WHO with the Italian government after Italy became the center of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe last year.

Navajo Nation issues home order after reported cases
The Navajo Nation issued a home order for the weekend after reporting another 26 confirmed COVID-19 cases. The latest figures bring the total number of cases on the reserve of the tribe, which includes parts of Arizona, New Mexico and Utah, to 30,239.

Indian states warn of COVID-19 vaccine shortages
Several Indian states are warning the federal government of COVID-19 vaccine shortages, as another increase in cases threatens to overwhelm the country and its already weak medical infrastructure. Authorities in New Delhi and in the provinces of Punjab and Rajasthan said on Saturday that they would not be able to continue vaccinations in the coming days unless the stock was replenished. Earlier this week, the western Maharashtra, the center of the country’s outbreak, closed some vaccination centers and turned people away due to inadequate vaccination.
