Dr Anthony Fauci recently said those who are fully vaccinated do not need to get a COVID-19 test unless they are showing symptoms.
What is happening?
Fauci told CBS This Morning on Friday morning that people who have been fully vaccinated do not need a COVID-19 test if they do not show symptoms.
- However, they will have to get a test as soon as they show symptoms, he said.
- Fauci was asked if vaccinated people should get COVID-19 tests. He said: “Not necessarily. Actually, I would not say that this is something you should do. ‘
- “If you are fully vaccinated with two doses of mRNA or one dose of J&J, I would not consider it unless you develop symptoms that are suggestive, but not if you are asymptomatic,” he told CNN.
Flash back
In February, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that people who are fully vaccinated also do not need to be quarantined after being exposed to the virus.
However, those who have been exposed to the coronavirus but have not received the COVID-19 vaccine should still be quarantined, as I wrote for Deseret News.
