COVID Live Updates: CDC Introduces Vaccine Guidelines for Underlying Conditions

NEW YORK (WABC) – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has new guidelines for those with underlying medical conditions when it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine.

Officials say those with weakened immune systems and an increased risk for a severe case of coronavirus could receive the vaccine.

However, the CDC says the chances are that some may experience a reduced immune response to the vaccine.

Those with underlying medical conditions should first make sure they are not allergic to anything in the vaccine.
