New cases of COVID-19 in Canada’s most populous province could increase more than sixfold, and in early June it could exceed 30,000 a day if social health measures are poor and vaccination rates remain low, a panel of experts advising the province of Ontario , Said Friday.

Even if measures to control the virus are “moderate,” the number of patients in Ontario could reach ICUs in May 2000, up from 695 on Friday.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario told doctors last week that they will soon have to decide who can and does not provide intensive care.
