COVID 19 vaccines arrive at Walmart, Publix and Winn-Dixie stores in South Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. The federal retail pharmacy program will expand Floridians’ vaccination options, with shots fired at Walmart, Sam’s Club and Winn-Dixie stores, plus more Publix stores.

The federal program sends out 1 million shots nationwide, including about 40,000 to grocery stores in Florida. That’s on top of the 325,000 shots the federal government has already awarded to Florida.

Appointments are required at every location and can be made on the pharmacies’ websites. Patients must meet state requirements and be 65 or older or health care workers.

Below are details on the pharmacies that get shots in South Florida. (The information is subject to change and availability. Please refer to the websites listed for the latest details.)

The following Walmart and Sam’s Club locations in South Florida will administer vaccines:

Miami-Dade and Monroe are among the counties on the state’s list for distribution at Winn-Dixies. Broward is not.

The distribution of the vaccine for Publix has expanded to more provinces, but Miami-Dade and Broward still do not count among the provinces. Monroe County and Palm Beach County.
