Officials ruled out coronavirus vaccination as the cause of death in a California man, Placer’s Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday.
The 64-year-old unnamed health worker died on January 21, hours after receiving the vaccine.
“Through our investigation, we learned more information about the individual. We learned that he not only diagnosed COVID-19 in him, but that he also had underlying health issues and that he was showing symptoms of diseases when the vaccine was given. was administered, ”the sheriff said.

According to authorities, the man started complaining about side effects within ten minutes after vaccination. It was also announced earlier that the man had tested positive for the new virus in late December.
“Clinical examination and laboratory results have determined that the COVID-19 vaccine was excluded as a contributing factor in the death of the individual.”
It remains unclear whether the man received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.

The vaccinations can cause side effects, such as fever, chills, fatigue, headaches and pain at the injection site, but these are normal signs that the body is building up protection, according to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
