COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Suspended for One Month in Genesee County

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Applications to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Genesee County will begin in almost another month.

The Genesee County Department of Health says online registration for the appointment of COVID-19 vaccines will not be open until early February 7th. The province is still waiting for additional vaccines so they can start Phase 1B, which includes everyone 65 years and older and critical careers such as first responders and teachers.

Appointments are available on the Department of Health’s schedule website as soon as Genesee County receives more vaccine doses.

State health officials recommend that people interested in monitoring the vaccine monitor the Michigan COVID-19 vaccine website, instead of calling their local health department for updates on when it will be available.
