COVID-19 vaccine may soon be available in pill form

The UK vaccination for vaccination against COVID-19 could one day be taken in pill form.

Nadhim Zahawi said there would be an oral option available in the future, reports Telegraph.

“There are technologies with pills and others that are being developed around the world, and we will look into that,” Zahawi told Times Radio.

“But we make sure that the UK always has the ability and the ability to produce the different vaccines that any variant virus can handle.”

A British biotechnology company has already turned the sticks into a tablet that delivers ‘excellent’ results in protecting monkeys from the coronavirus.

“You catch COVID in your mucous cells,” Wayne Channon, CEO of Sussex biotechnology firm iosBio, told the Telegraph. ‘But with jabs you get injected into the arm, which goes into the muscles and blood cells. Our tablets go straight into mucosal cells to induce mucosal immunity, so we hit the virus where it is. ”

He said the tablets could also speed up the race to vaccinate people around the world.

“With our capsule, you do not need medical staff to administer the vaccine. You can send it on Amazon Prime and have everyone vaccinated by Saturday,” Channon said.
