Humboldt County public health officials are still pushing the state of California for clarity on the newly updated adult youth and recreation guidance. While the state bans spectators for adult sports, ‘age-appropriate supervision’ of youth sports is allowed. Due to the lack of a specific definition of the term, public health officials will not impose a limit on the number of immediate family members who can attend games or exercises, but will ask anyone attending a youth sporting event their physical distance from non-domestic members and wear a face mask at all times.
Humboldt County Director of Public Health Michele Stephens said: “Humboldt County continues to support common sense rules and regulations that prevent the spread of COVID-19, but will not endorse a direct approach that does not address our local conditions and beyond. does not cause damage. small businesses that are the backbone of our community. ”
