The individual who died was in their 60s. This is the province’s 32nd death related to COVID-19. Staff from Humboldt County Public Health and the Emergency Operations Center express their condolences to the family and friends of all those who lost loved ones during the pandemic.

Vaccinations are now available for 75+; Second dose clinics are also planned this week

Humboldt County Public Health and local approved vaccinators are actively working to plan vaccinations for residents 75 years and older. Of the nearly 10,000 provincial residents in this age group, about half have already started the vaccine series, but the other half have not yet enrolled. Anyone who is 75 years of age or older and has not been contacted by their provider or public health for a vaccination appointment should call the Humboldt County Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000.

Public Health, in collaboration with healthcare providers, has planned three seconds for second-dose doses and expects to administer nearly 1,100 doses to healthcare workers, emergency service workers, personal educators, personal support staff at the school and long-term. care staff. This is in addition to the vaccinations that local providers offer to their patients.

Worship places can resume indoor services at a lower capacity

The state of California has imposed interim capacity restrictions on places of worship in response to recent court rulings. Below the ‘Purple’ or widespread level, Places of Worship can keep indoor services at 25% capacity. The California Department of Public Health has announced that it will soon be updating the industry guidelines for this sector.
