Press Release of the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
A total of 2,976 Humboldt County residents tested positive for COVID-19, after 16 additional cases were reported today.
As of Monday, February 8, 20,960 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been assigned to Humboldt County, including Pfizer and Moderna. Because a sixth dose can be regularly withdrawn from each vial of the Pfizer vaccine, public health and other approved local vaccines have maximized state allocation and administered a total of 21,230 doses.
Local health care providers who are approved to administer vaccine intervene directly with their qualifying patients to make vaccination appointments.
Public Health uses information submitted via the online vaccine interest form to fill out the slots at the mass clinics. Residents of the province are encouraged to fill out the form at humboldtgov.org/InterestForm to be notified when an appointment is available for their level.
