Nine new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Humboldt County since the latest report on Friday. A previous antigen-positive case was reclassified as a PCR-positive case. This action is taken to prevent a positive case from being counted twice. The total number of provincial residents who tested positive for the virus now stands at 3,501.
Public Health: CDPH travel guide for fully vaccinated
Humboldt County Public Health follows the lead of the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), which updated its Travel Advisory Friday to address people who are fully vaccinated, while advising those who are not fully vaccinated to to delay travel.
According to the CDPH, travelers who have been fully vaccinated have:
- is less likely to get and distribute COVID-19, and can travel safely within the United States and California
- must follow travel guidelines to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and do not need to test or quarantine within or after travel within the United States unless it has symptoms of COVID-19 disease.
CDPH abandoned its previous recommendation not to travel more than 120 kilometers from home. Instead, it offered new recommendations for non-essential trips of unvaccinated Californians leaving the state, which include the test before and after the trip and the quarantine on their return.
