Press Release of the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:
Thirty-nine new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed since the recent report Thursday.
The Public Health Data Task Force recently completed a routine audit of previous reports on illness, hospitalization, and mortality and made the following adjustments:
- Twenty-three COVID-19 positives previously reported were removed due to false positive test results, unconfirmed suspected positive test results, or because the patient was determined not to be a Humboldt County resident. This leaves a total of 3025 positive cases since the pandemic began.
- One hospitalization was removed due to the false positive test result mentioned above, and one new hospitalization was reported for a cumulative total of 124 hospitalizations.
In the vaccination news, residents have reached out to plan more than 2,000 two-dose appointments this week. If your clinical date is within five days and you have not yet been contacted to make an appointment, contact your service provider or call the Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000.
