Press Release of the Humboldt County Joint Information Center:

A total of 3,560 Humboldt County residents tested positive for COVID-19 after seven new cases were reported today.

The state of California has set a goal on June 15 to reopen the economy, a date that depends on vaccine availability and hospitalization. Community members are urged to support the reopening efforts by planning an appointment as soon as possible. Join MyTurn.ca.gov today.

Today, the California Department of Public Health announced that Humboldt County will remain at the “Orange” or Moderate level with an adjusted rate of 2 and a positive rate of 1.1%.

The state also updated its activity and business line map today to allow increased capacity constraints in facilities for guests who have been tested or fully vaccinated. This includes concerts, weddings and receptions, private meetings and more. These changes will take effect this week with required mitigation measures.
