According to a new study, the ratio between people who suffered from blood clots after receiving the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is the same as those receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Oxford University researchers have found that the number of people who get blood clots after being vaccinated is about the same for all three vaccines, while four out of one million people experience cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) after taking the Pfizer or Modern vaccine, compared with five in one million people for the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The new study follows the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in several countries due to concerns about blood clots that have recently been discontinued or restricted in patients who have been vaccinated.
On Tuesday, April 13, the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention advised against temporarily “interrupting” the use of Johnson & Johnson vaccines “out of caution” after six women developed a rare blood clotting disorder. which left one dead and one in a critical condition.
