Countess of Wessex volunteers at a Covid-19 vaccination center

Sophie Wessex started working as a volunteer at a vaccination center during the exclusion to help the Covid-19 samples across the country.

The Countess of Wessex (56), who was the great president of St. John Ambulance and a volunteer for the charity, joined their helpers in a center in south-west London on Thursday after completing her training.

She is said to be eager to work in a practical way during the mass vaccination program, which St. John Ambulance supports, and is considered proud to be part of the growing team of volunteers from the charity.

During her first shift on Thursday, Sophie was suggested to talk to people eagerly and provide support while getting the Covid-19 jab.

She wore a green St John Ambulance T-shirt to identify herself as a volunteer and keep her protected by wearing a disposable face mask during her shift.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said: ‘Like most of our existing and longtime volunteers, the Countess of Wessex has completed the necessary training to become a care volunteer in support of the NHS vaccination program.

‘We are delighted to have the Countess, as the Grand President of St. John Ambulance, to welcome a growing team of more than 10,000 volunteers who are now being trained and admitted to NHS vaccination centers across England, in an extraordinary collective effort to end the pandemic. ‘

Sophie was at the forefront of the royal family’s response to the ongoing pandemic and was earlier described as a ‘royal key worker’ for her volunteer work.

Last June, she visited St John Ambulance’s Operational Support Center to help organize PPE shipments for ambulance and hospital staff in the UK.

Majesty managing editor Joe Little said of her volunteer during the crisis: “She makes a difference in a very underrated, very ‘Sophie’ way. ‘

Meanwhile, Peregrine Armstrong-Jones, of Bentley’s Entertainment, which was helped by the royal to arrange meals for NHS workers, told PEOPLE magazine in June last year: ‘There is no fanfare. These are private visits made in her own private time.

“When she leaves our kitchens, she’s usually going to do more projects in different hospitals.”

She is reportedly eager to work during the mass vaccination program and is proud to be part of the growing team of St John Ambulance volunteers.

A friend added: ‘She was raised by her parents and there will be no free ride in her family. She was not born the eldest daughter of a duke and duchess, and found a wonderful marriage and polished her tiaras. ‘

Last summer, the royal – who is a mother of Lady Louise (17) and James, Burgrave Severn (13) – also joined The Saints Foundation to pack food and prescription packs for the defenseless.

Share the news on Twitter, the charity in Southampton mailed: ‘We were delighted to join HRH, the Countess of Wessex, this week, who has joined us on @FairShareUk and on our prescription service.

‘A privilege to show the royal family how we are transforming lives in and around Southampton. ‘

Earlier this month, Earl of Wessex, 56, gave insight into the exclusion of himself and his wife, especially with the homeschooling of their two children.

Sophie's husband, Prince Edward, has revealed that his two children, Lady Louise (17) and Viscount James (13) were 'crayons and cheese' when it comes to homeschooling (all pictured in 2019)

Prince Edward told Sky News that his teenage children were ‘crayons and cheese’ when it came to homeschooling, acknowledging that his daughter Louise ‘struggled’, while her younger brother James found it ‘fantastic’.

The youngest son of the Queen, who lives in Bagshot Park in Surrey, explained: ‘The eldest, Louise, she interrupted her GCSEs last year, and so we went through all the pain just to take it away suddenly.

‘And so she struggles a bit with online learning, because she prefers to be with everyone … My younger one honestly believes I’m home and online is fantastic.

‘I have to say the half term came at the right time, because it was very interesting the frustrations that started to appear – and I reckon we were not the only family to experience it. I reckon our blessings that we are happy where we are. ‘
