After all of his COVID-19 vaccination slots were quickly filled by the clinic, Memorial Hermann announced Friday around 6 p.m. that he would be opening extra.
According to a release from the hospital, the spots were added to the schedule for January 16 and January 17. After about an hour, the hospital announced that they had all been taken.

Memorial Hermann is working with NRG Park to host a COVID-19 vaccine door clinic on Thursday, but all available appointments are reserved.
During this event, Memorial Hermann plans to vaccinate people 65 years of age or older, based on the state’s Phase 1B information dissemination.
Memorial Hermann added that as of 5pm Friday, they have vaccinated a total of 6,300 people since it opened Thursday morning.
The vaccination is by appointment only for those who qualify under the guidelines of the state.
“Due to the limited number of vaccinations, individuals who do not have an appointment confirmation, or a photo ID that matches the name and date of birth on the appointment confirmation, will not be vaccinated,” reads a statement posted on Memorial Hermann’s website.
