Corona scares UP Old woman vaccinated against rabies instead of Corona

Vaccination against Covid-19 in Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking case of serious negligence in UP’s Shamli, three elderly women who were vaccinated against corona were vaccinated against rabies instead. The negligence of the health center was revealed after the condition of the old woman who got the jab became serious and the family members complained to the chief medical officers and asked for action.

It looks like the health department is trying to brush it under the rug and belittle the incident. At a time when states across the country are working 24 hours a day to make the public aware, the Kandhala Community Health Center has failed to ensure that the right vaccination is given to the beneficiary. It shows the appalling state of the health center and their ignorance about vaccination. Also read: Covid Second Wave: here are cities to set restrictions from today, go here

In the community health center, the negligence of staff regarding delivery and other health services has always been heard. Even then, the Department of Health did not address these issues or improve performance.

The case that came to light at the Kandhla Community Health Center of Shamli relates to residents Saroj (70), Anarkali (72) and Satyavati (60) reaching the community health center to get their first corona jab. It is alleged that once the women reached the center, health workers asked them to get a syringe of 10 R each from outside and they were vaccinated for rabies.

The women are said to be illiterate and have returned to the push. The condition of one of the women started to get worse when she panicked and felt dizzy. The family members took the woman to a private doctor for treatment and the doctor was surprised to see the prescription from the health center where she got the jab.

It was then that the private doctor revealed that she had been vaccinated against rabies in the health center. When the family members of the three women further investigate the matter, the negligence of the staff of the community health center comes to the fore, after which family members create uproar and also complain to the CMO Shamli Sanjay Agarwal who demands action.
