Cordarrelle Patterson implies leaving Bears via free agency

It turns out that specialist-specialist is specialist, sometimes widespread, sometimes running, the gun Cordarrelle Patterson is on her way out of Chicago all the time. Patterson sent a tweet Wednesday that looks like goodbye to his Bears teammates.

Moments later, Mike Garafolo adds context and reports that he expects Patterson to sign with the Atlanta Falcons.

In his two seasons with the Bears, Patterson averaged more than 29 yards per kick yield and he scored two kick-backs. He also got one rush.

He has earned Pro Bowl honors and First-Team All-Pro honors in both 2019 and 2020.

Patterson also won fans over with his obscure postgame videos with his keyword “How are they Bear?!?”

This would be the second time an All-Pro returnee has left the Bears for the Hawks. Devin Hester is also moving to Atlanta after the Bears did not sign him again before the 2014 season.
