Copa Libertadores Breno Lopes the unlikely hero

Pdefeat almeiras Santos to win the Copa Libertadores Saturday with a goal deep in injury time through Breno Lopes.
Just when the result of the Brazilian result at play-off time seemed, Lopes appeared in the 99th minute with an unstoppable header to pass Palmeiras the most coveted title in South American football.
Palmeiras, who last won the Copa Libertadores in 1999, finishes Santos‘dream of claiming their fourth title and becoming the Brazilian club with the most continental trophies, in the most dramatic way.

There were only 500 spectators in the Maracana to witness the event as a result of COVID-19, it was another dramatic Libertadores final that will live long in the memory of both fans.
The victory discusses Palmeiras’ place in the World Cup Club, which will be held in Qatar this year, in which they will face Tigs from Mexico or Ulsan from South Korea.
